HPY Apartament
Oradea · 78 mp · 2023 · Complete interior design
An apartment where every square metre had to work twice over: an open kitchen, a place to eat, concealed storage and a balcony turned into a room.

The apartment is built on a controlled contrast: the heavy joinery is matt graphite, while the surfaces that need to breathe are pale timber. Nothing is glossy, nothing reflects — which is why the space reads larger than its actual area.
The kitchen opens onto the living room through a stone counter that works at once as a worktop, a breakfast bar and the boundary between the two functions. There is no dividing wall, but there is a clear edge.
In the living room, the television wall is clad in vertical oak panelling with a continuous wall-hung unit at its base. The terracotta sofa is the only stronger colour in the flat and acts as the visual anchor for the rest of the palette.
Storage was treated as a design problem rather than an afterthought: a sliding-door wardrobe in the bedroom, a utility zone hidden behind a sliding front, and the washing machine integrated into the vanity unit. The balcony was enclosed and turned into a reading corner, with a storage bench and timber panelling.
- Matt graphite handleless fronts
